Mongolian yochin (dulcimer) soloist, Mongolian Grand Theatre of National Art

A graduate of the Mongolian State Conservatory and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Ulziijargal has performed internationally in China, Korea, Japan, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, India, Germany, Italy, and Poland, bringing the expressive beauty of Mongolian traditional music to audiences worldwide.

Her notable solo performances include "Resonance of Metal Strings" at the Mongolian State Philharmonic (2016), "Winter Classic" at the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet (2024), and her solo concert at the Shanghai Concert Hall (2023), all of which highlight her technical mastery and uniquely expressive musical voice.

Through her performance at Carnegie Hall, she hopes to carry the free-flowing clouds and beautiful winds of the Mongolian land to the hearts of her audience.

Ulziijargal Tumurchudur will present a special performance at the Embassy of Mongolia in Washington, D.C., following her successful Carnegie Hall concert in New York. This intimate event will showcase the expressive beauty of the Mongolian Yochin, featuring traditional folk melodies, modern Mongolian compositions, and select works arranged for this unique instrument.Having recently performed at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall, Ulziijargal now brings her “Mongolian Steppe Wind” program to the Mongolian community and invited guests in the U.S. capital.

Ulziijargal Tumurchudur has performed at the Mongolian Grand Theatre of National Arts, Mongolian State Philharmonic, the Shanghai Concert Hall, and the Mongolian State Opera and Ballet House. In this concert, alongside Mongolian pianist Nomin Samdan, she presents a program consisting of Mongolian traditional folk melodies, works by prominent Mongolian composers, as well as transcriptions of Western classical repertoire.
